Pamela R. Butcher is the CEO of Pilot Chemical Company. She was elected to Pilot’s Board of Directors in 2016. Pam joined Pilot Chemical in 2010 after a successful 29-year career with The Dow Chemical Company, where she held a variety of leadership positions including Business Vice President of Specialty Chemicals, Vice President of Corporate Marketing & Sales and Vice President and General Manager of Adhesives and Sealants. She was also a distinguished recipient of Dow's Genesis Award for people excellence, which is Dow's highest recognition for people leadership. An active leader in the chemical industry, Pam was president of the Board of Trustees for the Chemical Educational Foundation and served on the Boards of the American Cleaning Institute, and the Ohio Manufacturing Association.
Pam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy and a Master's of Science Degree from Purdue University. She also is a graduate of the Northwestern University Marketing Executive program and has participated in the Prince of Wales Sustainability Conference and the Asian Master Class on Asian Business. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and has completed the Director Professional Master Class. She also serves as an independent Director on the Boards of Gruden Topco Holdings, Trecora Resources and on the Regional Advisory Board of U.S. Bank.
Mike Clark serves as President and COO for Pilot Chemical Company. Mike joined Pilot in 2018 after holding a variety of sales and marketing, business development and strategic planning management positions over the course of a 32-year career in the chemical industry. Mike most recently served as Vice President – Organics at Sasol Performance Chemicals, where he led the business unit’s worldwide sales and marketing and customer service teams. He received bachelor’s degrees in Zoology and Marketing from Miami University.
Jeff Baxter serves as Director of Supply Chain for Pilot Chemical Company. Jeff joined Pilot in 2014 as Manager of Integrated Supply Chain. In his current position, he manages Pilot’s supply chain functions including procurement, supply and demand planning, customer service and logistics. Prior to joining Pilot, Jeff worked for Procter & Gamble for 26 years, with various engineering, operations and supply chain responsibilities. Jeff received his Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and Master of Business Administration from Xavier University.
Glynn E. Goertzen serves as the president of Liquid Minerals Group Ltd. in Huntsville, TX and serves as the vice president of Corporate Development and Strategy for Pilot Chemical. Prior to these roles, he served as Pilot’s Vice President of Commercial managing Pilot’s sales, marketing, customer service, integrated supply chain, research & development and corporate accounts functions. Glynn has worked at Pilot for 18 years. Prior to joining Pilot, Glynn worked for Kerr-McGee/North American Chemical and Univar for 12 years with various sales, marketing, and product management responsibilities. Glynn received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance from the University of Akron and Master of Business Administration International Business from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri.
Derek Houck serves as Chief Financial Officer for Pilot Chemical Company. Derek joined Pilot in 2006. His previous roles at Pilot include Accounting Manager, Controller and Director of Finance and Accounting. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Xavier University, in addition to completing the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School. Derek is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
Chris Leedy serves as vice president of Manufacturing and Engineering for Pilot Chemical Company. He joined Pilot in 2016 and is an experienced operations leader with 30 years in the chemical and manufacturing industry. Chris has worked for Henkel, Cognis, and BASF and most recently as the Vice President of Operations for Frutarom Flavors North America. He has a broad and successful background in engineering, manufacturing management, supply chain, and business management with a consistent focus on results, innovation, and continuous improvement. Chris received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Susan K. Leslie serves as vice president of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality for Pilot Chemical Company. Sue joined Pilot in 1982 as a Process Engineer at the Lockland, Ohio facility, where she spent three years. She spent the next seven years as Plant Engineer at the Middletown, Ohio facility and had a key role in the design, construction and startup of the plant. In 1992, she began 10 years as Plant Manager. Prior to moving to her current role, Sue held the position of Vice President, Quality Management Systems for almost three years. She received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Patrick McCarthy serves as the president of Pilot Polymer Technologies, Inc. (formerly ATRP Solutions, Inc.), and as the vice president of Technology and Innovation. Patrick co-founded ATRP Solutions in 2006 and was the CEO and president of the company for 11 years. Patrick joined Pilot Chemical Company when Pilot acquired ATRP Solutions in 2017. Prior to founding ATRP Solutions, Patrick spent six years at Dionex Corporation, a technology company in the Silicon Valley. Patrick holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island and a BS in Chemistry from Colorado State University.
Sarah Mester serves as Director of Corporate Development for Pilot Chemical Company. Sarah joined Pilot in 2012 as the Regional Sales Manager for Latin America. In her current role, she oversees Pilot’s strategic acquisitions and partnerships. She was elected to Pilot's Board of Directors in 2019. Prior to joining Pilot, Sarah worked for John A. Martin & Associates as a project engineer. She received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and her Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. She holds Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licenses in California.
Bartley Morrisroe serves as General Counsel and Corporate Communications Manager for Pilot Chemical Company. He was elected to Pilot's Board of Directors in 2019. Prior to joining Pilot in 2013, Bartley worked for seven years in the editorial departments of various national magazines. He holds both a BS and an MS in Journalism from Northwestern University. He holds a J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Ohio, New York and New Jersey.
Catherine Ochterski serves as vice president of Human Resources for Pilot Chemical Company. Catherine joined Pilot in December 2005 as Manager of Human Resources. Prior to joining Pilot, Catherine worked for Aero Fulfillment Services for six years as Director of Human Resources and with Standard Textile Company for three years as HR Representative. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Michigan State University and Master of Arts in Labor and Employment Relations from the University of Cincinnati. Catherine also earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2004.
Richard Rehg serves as vice president of Commercial for Pilot Chemical Company. Prior to joining Pilot Chemical, he worked for Sasol Performance Chemicals, where he held management positions in sales and marketing, strategy and innovation and key account management. Richard received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Notre Dame.
David M. Waizmann serves as Director of Digitalization for Pilot Chemical Company. David joined Pilot in December 2005 as Controller. Prior to joining Pilot, David worked for Reynolds & Reynolds/ Relizon/Workflow One for over eight years with various cost accounting, financial reporting and financial planning and analysis responsibilities. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton. David also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Ohio and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
